Turn a clear idea into an AI image

Two prompts, two creative directions

Concrete materials and composition help turn an idea into a brief the model can interpret.

Illustrative product photograph of an amber perfume bottle arranged on natural stone

A quiet product scene

Amber glass, pale stone and directional daylight create a restrained product concept. The empty background leaves room for layout work after generation.

  • Focus: one bottle and believable material detail.
  • Light: soft side illumination with a gentle shadow.
  • Review: glass edges, cap alignment and reflections.

Image prompt

Create a high-end product photograph of an unbranded amber glass perfume bottle with a simple dark cap, standing on pale travertine. Soft window light from the left, subtle translucent reflections, warm ivory background, realistic glass and stone textures. Center the bottle with generous negative space. No text, logos or extra objects.

Dreamlike illustration of a floating island with waterfalls in a teal forest

A forest that could only be imagined

A floating island gives the illustration a clear focal point. Layered trees, falling water and a restrained palette establish depth without overloading the scene.

  • Focus: one floating island as the central silhouette.
  • Palette: teal forest with small warm accents.
  • Review: a readable path and distinct foreground.

Image prompt

Create a dreamlike illustration of a small floating island suspended in a deep teal forest. Place a winding path and one ancient tree on the island, with delicate waterfalls descending into mist. Layer distant trees in muted turquoise, add warm specks of light and soft atmospheric depth. Wide composition, no people, no lettering.

Illustrative examples; actual results vary.

Create an image in three steps

Start with the visual idea, add useful constraints, then evaluate the generated result.

01Describe the main subject

Sign in and write what the image should show. Include the subject, action and setting: a glass bottle on natural stone is more useful than “a beautiful product.”

02Set the visual direction

Add lighting, medium, colors and framing. Mention the intended placement, such as a wide article header. Attach a reference only when it contributes useful context.

03Generate and develop the result

Submit to continue in chat. Review the image and request a specific revision, such as softer shadows. Model availability, settings and credit balance determine which tasks can run.

Create visuals for a specific purpose

An image prompt works best when it describes the job the picture needs to do.

Editorial headers

Translate an article theme into a visible scene or metaphor. Leave space for a title added in your layout tool.

Product concept exploration

Explore materials, surfaces and lighting for a mood board. Use a product reference when its exact shape matters, and inspect generated details.

Illustration and worldbuilding

Explore imaginary locations and environments with a defined palette. Name the medium and focal point to establish a consistent visual direction.

Campaign visual drafts

Develop alternate compositions before selecting a direction. Change one variable between attempts to compare color, framing or lighting.

Make every line of your prompt useful

Specific visual instructions are easier to act on than long strings of quality adjectives.

Start with a concrete scene

Write “a red bicycle against a yellow plaster wall” before describing mood. Establish the subject and its relationship to the setting.

Choose a medium and light source

Say photograph, gouache or cut-paper illustration, then describe a light source. Consistent materials and lighting help the elements belong together.

Plan the crop

Describe the subject’s position and where empty space belongs. Request framing or an aspect ratio when needed; output options vary by model.

Revise the visible problem

Ask for a specific correction: fewer props, a lower camera or a darker background. Extra quality adjectives rarely clarify the visible problem.

AI image generator questions

Practical answers before your first text-to-image request.

No. Describe your idea to generate from text. Add references for visual context. To transform a particular photo, use image-to-image and explain what should remain.

Start with the image you can describe

Choose one subject, one setting and one visual treatment. You can refine the details after seeing the first result.
